3 Things to Do When You’re Starting Your Fitness Journey

Starting Your Fitness Journey? Do These 3 Things First
If you’re just getting started, here’s the truth:
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You need a few things done consistently.
These are the 3 things I wish I focused on sooner.
1. Pick “non-negotiables,” not goals
Instead of “I want to lose 20 lbs,” decide what you’ll do no matter what.
Lift 2–3x a week.
Walk daily.
Eat mostly whole foods.
Motivation fades. Habits stay.
2. Stop trying to be perfect
You will eat out.
You will miss workouts.
That’s normal.
What slows progress isn’t the slip.
It’s letting one choice turn into a week off.
Get back to your next meal. Your next workout. That’s it.
3. Make it easy to win
Don’t overhaul your life overnight.
Add protein to meals.
Drink more water.
Move a little more than yesterday.
Small wins stack faster than big plans.
Fitness isn’t about doing more.
It’s about showing up more often.
If you’re starting now, you’re already doing the hardest part.
