The Key to Starting Fitness Right
What I Wish I Knew When I Started
Awareness is everything when you’re starting your fitness journey.
When I first started training, I thought I had to do everything perfectly. More workouts, stricter meals, endless effort. I burned out fast.
What I learned is simple: awareness matters more than effort.
Start by noticing your habits. When do you move most during the day? What do you eat and how does it make you feel? Pay attention to your body — which exercises feel good, which leave you sore, how your energy shifts. And check in with your mind. Are you motivated or just forcing yourself out of guilt?
Small observations lead to big results. Awareness helps you make choices that actually work for your body, your life, and your goals.
